Feature Friday at TCC

Good morning, we're sorry that this is late being posted, but with everyone so busy this time of year the posting was "temporarily" forgotten. I (dj) volunteered to do the posting, since I don't have anything going on. Since this is still December, our challenge this week is still Dazzle, but this time using Sparkle/Sparkle/Sparkle. Did I say Sparkle? LOL. This can be any kind of thing that sparkles, like glitter, glossy accents, stickles...(you get the picture). Unfortunately sparkle doesn't always show up that well when we photograph the card. However, if you'd like some inspiration, please take a look at what we did this week. Oh, and we were able to use one of our favorite TCC images.

Feature Friday Challenge – Shiny/Foil

Well, this is the point in our post that we bring to you some important news for the future of The Character Cafe.  Kelly and I have been drawing for the Cafe for a few months shy of 2 years now and while we’ve enjoyed it tremendously, we are finding it harder and harder to find time to complete our images, let alone participate in our groups and getting to know you all. 

We recruited Fink to help us out and while she took on all that we asked of her, it seemed that the time she freed up for our drawing ended up being needed elsewhere in our lives.

It was with heavy hearts that we had to come to terms with the fact that there really aren’t enough hours in the day and it just isn’t feasible for us to take on another Design Team at this time.  So, we have informed our current (and wonderful) Design Team that the last 2 weeks of December are voluntary.

After that, the Cafe Store will remain open and we are here for customer service, but we will not be drawing any new images starting Jan. 2011.  Our blog will also remain as Kelly and/or I may wish to pop in and say hi, or you never know…

We want to thank our friends/supporters from the bottom of our hearts for the past 2 years of crafty goodness and we will definitely be seeing you in blogville!!!

As a thank you, we are also putting all Cafe images on sale for $1 only… get them while you can ladies!!!

Feature Friday Dazzling December

Last Feature Friday of November...

Can you believe that the new year is almost here. I can remember when everyone was so worried about what the year 2000 would bring. Now it's almost 2011. Wow!

Well, enough trivia. Let's get down to what you came for. LOL! Welcome to our latest Feature Friday Challenge. It's really a fairly easy challenge this week. Feature Friday Recipe Challenge

Well, its Friday again, and time for our new challenge at The Character Cafe! But first, I would like to thank everyone who participated in last week's challenge....what a wonderful turn out!!! As this is the first time that I have hosted a challenge, I really do hope you will all enter again this week......

Now, this time around we are asking that you include a homemade flower and use some Natural colours (shades of brown or kraft) on your project. The flowers can be made using punches, die cuts, ribbon, paper, fabric, or whatever your imagination can dream up!

This week you will notice that we are missing a couple of designers!  We unfortunately will be losing Tina because of family and time constraints.  We will miss her talent, awesome coloring and the wonderful easel cards that she does!  We do wish her well in the future and hope she comes back and tries our challenges!  We also have DJ missing since she is in the hospital this time around but we wish her well.
