Grand Opening and a Freebie!

We are so excited to finally have our images for sale! We have been working so hard in order to be able to offer quality images for use in your crafting endeavors.

It has been quite a chore trying to figure out website stuff, file types and terms of use, but I think we're finally getting somewhere. Having said that, we are a new company so if there are some hiccups along the way we hope that you bear with us and we will most definitely try to remedy any problems along the way. If you notice something that we have forgotten or you feel that we could do better and/or differently, PLEASE let us know by sending an e-mail to charactercafe@gmail.com. We want to know because we want to offer quality products that are both convenient and easy to use.

We are currently looking into shopping cart options like zen cart, but it's taking us some time to figure it all out. In the meantime, we hope that you find our current website functional and easy to use. If you have any problems or concerns using it, please contact us.

Now for the good stuff...

I made a few cards using the images we now have for sale - we have so many more to come, but we wanted to be able to get going in order to offer our freebie on time for Easter!

This is Izzy... she's one of my personal favorites! I made this card for a little girls birthday that one of my daughters was going to and she loved it. I must say, Izzy is the perfect image to use for any kids projects. We will have lots of fun with Izzy in the future... I can't wait :)

Oh Simon.... this little guy has won our hearts that's for sure. He's just so darn cute (and fun to colour!). I love how innocent he looks in this pose. I made this card with Mother's Day in mind, but note that the rose that's behind his back is not included with the image. We wanted you to be able to put any number of things there, if anything at all. This particular rose is cut from a Penny Black Stamp that I have, but I works perfect for this card.

The papers used for these cards are from Basic Grey and Rob & Bob Studio... coloured with Copics, the rose is embossed, the rhinstones are from my stash, so is the ribbon, the Happy Birthday stamp and balloons is from a set I got from Wal-Mart, but I can't remember the company as my dds destroyed the packaging before I labelled it!

Time to get to the FREEBIE!!!

This is Bailey... he has been inspired by all my chocolate enabler friends over at the cricutlovers yahoo group! I just adore him. You can download him if you visit our website, The Character Cafe. We think you will find that he can be quite mischievious. I think he'll be great fun at the Cafe! We do ask that you take a look around and if you feel so inclined, it would be great if you popped back in to let us know what you think, (the good, bad and the ugly!).

Keep in mind that all our images come to you in the form of .pdf, .tiff and .svg files. You can create easy paper piecings with the images or just colour, or combine the two! Depending on the file, the .svg components may vary (like with our angels.... stick arms are not so easy to piece!), but we hope that you enjoy having options.

Okay, I've kept you long enough... get going, get crafting! Remember, if you have any advice, comments or wishes, please let us know... if we don't know, we can't grow!

Looking forward to lots of fun & don't forget to stop by the Cafe for a visit and a boo at our menu.

Happy crafting!

Kendra
