Tek Tuesday with Meredith! All-In-One 4 Tag Card!!

Good Morning All!! So sorry for the delay in this post but I was up WAY too late last night creating to be able to coherently write properly!

I have a SUPER easy peasy and FUN tutorial to show you!! I call it the All-In-One 4 Tag Card! I have to thank my friend Joanne B. for showing me how to do this in what seems like 100 years ago when she used to run SU! workshops. So here is that example from the workshop that was my muse for this piece. You need a 12x12 piece of cardstock and any decorative images, elements, papers that you'd like. You can really frill this baby up or keep it trim, clean and simple. Either way it'll look fab!

Score your 12" cardstock at 3", 6", and 9" respectively. Creating 4 equal sections. I've used Doodlebug Designs - Sugar Coated Cardstock that I picked up during a recent trip to The Paper Source (YUM!).

Next, trim your cardstock down to 5".I kind of eyeballed the corners as you can tell by my sketching. If you tend to be more precise you can obviously make this an equal measurement if you like but the eyeball technique works pretty well ;)

After trimming the corners (which I did simply with scissors), I again, eyeballed the center of the "tag" and punched through all 4 layers while folded together with my Big Bite.
When you open it up you will see 4 tags together similar to paper dolls!
Now all you need is to decorate! Really! It's THAT easy! I chose to use 3 different images today!! I used Cupcake Rosebud, Turtle Love, and the Love Conquers (colored in MS Paint) sentiment. I resized them all in MS Paint, printed them out, colored them with a variety of my Copics and Prismacolor markers, Souffle Pens, and Sakura Sparkly pens.
Once my images were colored, I matted them with a shiny red cardstock...also from The Paper Source. I adhered them to the tags with foam pop-dots. I then used my SU! 3/4" circle punch to create hole re-enforcers in order to thread my ribbon through at the top of the tags. You'd be surprised that even on really heavy cardstock how quickly you can tear through the punched holes if you pull the ribbon too tightly. So I used the most adorable DP from Imaginescence to create these. I punched them out...adhered them over the holes and punched through again. I added 4 different ribbons to the tops of my tags. The last tag I left blank for my sentiment and simply tied a heart covered ribbon so that it didn't look blank.
You must run to The Cafe's Shoppe to see all of the ADORABLE images that are now available for Valentine's Day!!!

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial for today!!

Have a great week and thanks for visiting!!

XOXO-
Meredith
